7:50 when an idea contradicts itself, we know it's wrong. Well Christians believe a God exists who's all-knowing, all-powerful, and interested in our belief/worship. The idea that Satan is allowed to successfully deceive people contradicts that idea. So we know it's wrong. We of course don't have reasonable evidence of God or Satan, so we have no reason to believe either exist.

We here may all love Jesus and believe in the infallibility of the Bible, but I could not be further apart from you on this topic. As a Christian who earned a degree in geology at a public state school (gasp, right?), I searched for where secular geologists had gone wrong, and just couldn't find it. All of their detail driven, highly scientific and truth seeking theories and evidence really checked out, and all intertwined intrinsically. Yet they were the first to admit that many problems existed in their theories and current understandings. But they also worked transparently to solve them. I also on my own, searched every creationist answer available in geology and found very little actual evidence, and many problems with what I did find. Weak evidence, theories that fell apart upon any real examination, ideas that might work locally but certainly not globally, were the best they had. And creation scientists were very defensive, not transparent at all, often attacking secular ideas as a way of "proving creationism." The secular volume of understanding also eclipsed creationist science understanding by such an enormity that it was stunning. Rather than question my faith, I questioned our understanding of what the Bible tells us about the universe's origin story. Thankfully, I did finally find answers that are both explained by faith and science, at www.biologos.org. What cracks me up is how, slowly over time, though not geologically slow (haha), creationist geology has adopted secular geological concepts, here and now it's plate tectonics (which many years ago had been "proven" to be false by creationists). But "tectonic sprint" is downright funny, and completely inconceivable. Even if you can find a few places in the world where evidence might support that idea, the entire rest of the planet's geologic evidence refutes it. Misstating things, like in this video when discussing that secular scientists are "puzzled by" how the Navajo sandstone was transported and deposited, is unfairly misleading. Geologists have had a proper understanding of this process for many decades! It was transported and weathered from the ancient Appalachian Mountains across the continent by ancient rivers, and later blown by desert winds to the Colorado Plateau region in a windy erg environment (hence the well-sorted cross-bedding), not a catastrophic flood environment which would produce a completely different type of deposit. Science is simply a way of explaining and interpreting what God did during creation, whether or not you believe in God. But we can't force science and the planet to fit our idea of who God is, or what the Bible says about it. If the evidence doesn't back it up, there must be a problem with our interpretation of what He said in the Bible, not with who God is or how He created.

A geologists favorite "chair" is a steppe! When you mentioned coastal geology, you mentioned Maine and California, but I used to live in Oregon (currently Virginia). The coastal geology there I have heard is like Maine. My family used to spend our summers at Charleston State Parks on the Oregon coast (near Coos Bay) because of the beautiful gardens and fantastic coastline. Now apply that reality to a story that took place thousands of years ago when people had no information available to them except the information provided by priests! This reality about human nature makes christianity's stories and promises irrelevant especially in regards to "free will". From flat earthers, rapture believers, those that deny evolution, those that deny the science of climate change and vaccines...those that believe Trump all prove that "free will" can't exist. Because those who are deceived and truly believe the deception bases their life and actions upon those beliefs. That is exactly why Christ plays no role in who is good or evil and Christians prove that. There are good Christians for example, and those that vote to force raped 10 year old little girls to give birth, vote for even more tax breaks for billionaires at the expense of the world, vote for those that do nothing about climate change and gun violence and list goes on. There are good Muslims and those that fly planes into buildings. And there are good Atheists and those that vote for Trump. And the deception all humanity easily embraces proves "Free Will" can't exist amongst us mere mortals. Flying planes into buildings, forcing raped 10 year old little girls to give birth, voting for Trump all come from the exact same place...embracing deception. So the next time you watch as deceived humans support evil...remember it was all brought to you by deception...the lie of christ, muhammad, or trump! Because once you can embrace these lies you can embrace all lies. So just as Islam has detroyed the nations it infests we see why the exact same thing is happening here in America.

I remember growing up and we would go outside in the evening front door or the back door and look up and there were stars most places now not unless you go way out into the country. You cannot see the stars anymore pollution we used to go down to the beach and lay out on the blankets and look up, so beautiful and now you see nothing we’re lucky. We could see the moon in the sun. It’s so sad that children nowadays and most places have never seen a sky full of beautiful God giving stars which is a heavenly gift among so many other things, but still, I give God the glory, unfortunately we have created a whole mess
